Symbol Problem On Brushed Ring

Dear Jung;

We received our order today and the blue stone ring changes are perfect, thanks!

About the brushed ring, we received two of them where the symbol was not finished completely. I am attaching a picture so you can see. The top right end of the symbol, the oval was not finished through. We have had this problem before and we did not send them back for repair, thinking it was a one-off thing but it seems there might be an issue with the mold since now there have been 4 rings with this same problem on the same spot.

Please let me know what to do about this since sending them back would be time consuming and would cost about $20. We can also look into repair here and charge you the cost for that.

JP12LOM (CM Value $ 39.93)

Dear Mang Brata,

We received the showroom samples for JP12LOM. Thank you for the on-time delivery. I performed the QC. I see that you have successfully addressed the problems I brought to your attention previously. The resin topcoat is clear. The earring pairs are well-matched. Thank you for the attention to these details.

In this first round of production of showroom samples, however, I noticed some new issues that need improvement. I hope you will improve these areas for the delivery of JP12LOM in June.

imageOne problem on all earrings is the appearance of the silver-plated bails. The bails on many earrings had pits or an unattractive orange-peel texture. Please see attached spreadsheet "Loom QC Silver Plate." Please make sure the bails have a smooth and shiny surface.

imageThere continue to be some issues with the sticker stopping short of the edge of the shell. This problem was most evident on the 30mm circle, LOM-0312-09, and the 25 x 12 mm rectangle, LOM-0312-11. Please see attached spreadsheet "Loom QC Sticker Size" for photo examples. Additionally, these 2 styles did not appear to have a resin top-coat and the sticker was very easy to peel up.

imageAnother problem with samples received is that the shell is thinner than my original approval samples. Please look at the half-pair samples I sent you for reference. The thickness of the shell contributes to the perceived value of the earring. The thinner shell pieces make the earrings look less valuable. Additionally, on many earrings, there was a gap between the shell and the bail, which made the earring fall apart easily because there was not enough surface contact for the glue to hold. This was especially a problem with the styles LOM-0312-01, LOM-0312-10, and LOM-0312-11. Please make sure the shell pieces are cut to the thickness of the approval samples and that the bails fit tightly to the shell.

imageThe styles LOM-0312-02, LOM-0312-05, LOM-0312-06, and LOM-0312-08 had problems with the resin top coat not being sealed down to the shell. I was able to separate the resin coat from the shell. Please see attached spreadsheet "Loom QC Resin Topcoat Separating." Please make sure the 2 layers seal together.

imageI noticed that the shell and ink color on LOM-0312-06 and LOM-0312-12 were different, darker and more gray than the approval samples. See attachment for each style. The other styles with white shell and silver ink (LOM-0312-01, LOM-0312-04, and LOM-0312-10) were the correct color.

Additionally, please see the other attached spreadsheets per style for other special issues like bubbles in the sticker and dirt trapped on the edge of stickers.

I will send samples of the defect earrings for you to study. They will be in our next material shipment.

Thank you for your attention to these matters. By addressing these issues I hope we can make this collection a success.

Reject On BAN-06, 59, 64, and 81 (CM: $ 209.76)

Hi Jung & Brata,

We have just received the shipment and are very upset with the quality of some of the pieces you sent us and will need to return them to you to be fixed. I am not sure how this has happened you are supposed to have samples of all our designs but from the shipment I have received it looks like you no longer have these samples and I am not sure why. I have attached images of the pieces we are unhappy with, please let me know how we should go about returning to you. I really wish we did not have to do this as it’s an unnecessary expense for you to undertake with postage and repairing pieces but we are unable to sell them as they are. We also have an issue with the white brass pieces... We did not mention to you in the last shipment as there was already a delay, but original samples you sent were approved and made from white brass... We don’t think you are making them from white brass anymore but rather yellow brass or copper which is then being silver plated (this is specifically referring to items BAN-64 & BAN-69), I have one BAN-69 for me and have seen as I am wearing it the plating has been coming off (we never agreed for the pieces to be made this way). The only white brass piece that was received as per original samples was BAN-58 which we have been happy with, we are about to reorder this and I hope quality will remain the same.
Please see problems with items received:
· BAN59-NK – The finish on these is horrible and I cannot believe they have passed quality control please see images attached and an image of original (in the shipment the coins are covered in solder have not been polished after soldering and to be honest look half done.
IMG_1054
· BAN59 –ER – Again the finish is not good (a bit better than the necklaces) but there is solder all over the coins, the have not been polished properly some of the pairs have 1 earring much shinier than the other, and there is even 1 pair that doesn’t match.
IMG_1058
· BAN-64 – The pieces in this shipment have been made from yellow brass and are gold in colour! Original sample shipment was made from white brass, second shipment looks like you plated it or something (but we did not have time to return as had to send them for orders, Brata should have an email noting this for future shipments though). These pieces are completely different from previous orders! Quality of design is the same but wrong colour & material. (Have attached a photo of one sent now, of shipment from last order which was also not exactly correct & image from our website)
IMG_1059
· BAN06-NK – The chain has been connected to the wrong part of the pendant, we are unable to fix this ourselves as the silver plating will melt off. You definitely have a sample of this piece as I put it together myself, so again am unsure how this has happened. Please see the jump rings are through the oval shaped cut outs, you have assembled with jump ring higher through a small hole.IMG_1053
· BAN-37 bracelets have also not been curved as you should have notes on in specifications of your samples... We will curve these ourselves but please understand this is additional work for us on pieces we have already paid for to be completed.
This is all very upsetting, we have been very happy with the work and quality of pieces in the past and really are not sure what has happened in this shipment. We agree on prices for a certain quality of work and finish on products which I do not feel have been met with a lot of items in this order. I understand all pieces are put through quality control before shipping and am not sure how some of these passed especially BAN-59 Necklace, I believe you will be shocked once you see the quality of this design you have sent us it looks very very bad.
Please let me know what to do.
