Acomo Stamp Jewelry

Dear Brata & Jung,

I went back to my old e-mail from February to re-fresh my memory how we want the stamped jewelry finished:

The copper earring sample with stamped design has been

- stamped

- oxidized with a sharpie

- lightly sanded or brushed

- and then treated with wax, using a cotton cloth for rubbing in the wax

- the wax will dry relatively fast and build a protective layer on the metal

- the final step is light rubbing with a clean cotton cloth to get rid of any excess wax and to give it a little bit of shine

We have had good experiences with the wax (preventing tarnishing) and it may be the best treatment for oxidized items, because it does not smear the black color from the Sharpie all over the earrings.

- we would like the ear wire in silver plated metal or stainless steel (please make the same shape and size as in the sample that we sent)

Let me know if you can make the wires or if we need to send them.

Sincerely,

Peter

Wooden Earring And Necklace (CM $ 698.91)

So from this invoice, total wood and earring is ($
429.33+$352.75+$11.71+$22.13)= $ 815.92
Minus $ 117.01 so we have to give you a credit of: $ 698.91
Am I right?

Final QC In Australia

Hi Jung,

I have just had a long skype call with Wendy, my Logistics person in Melbourne and we have discussed all the QA of the stock delivered.

So.. it looks like we will have around 30 - 35 % rejected items. I am sorry about this and I really have tried to approve all the ones that I can.. even when the designs were not what I would consider right. I have been very flexible on the interpretation of the designs..because I understand your issues around consistency.

I will have the final details tomorrow as she is just doing a final check today.

The designs are being rejected for design factors but also there are a lot of scratches on them as well as marks from the 925 stamping.. so I am a little but disappointed with that as really those latter mistakes should not get past your QC process.

I guess however it is much better than the 100% rejected ones 3 times over from the Banjara team with their first order… So.. the trip to Bali last time has made quite a positive impact and I think overall, given it’s our first real order , it’s not so bad. However, it is costly for you and I do understand that.

We will endeavor to send the stock back to you via your choice of courier on Monday. Please send your courier account details.

Once we have the final numbers, I will send the spread sheet to you ( hopefully tomorrow).. then could you please remove the value of this stock off my final payment and I will make the payment to you.

I think the lesson here is that we need to move to casting in future for certain items. I would say for all the Disc designs as well as Empire and Scallop .. just to ensure that consistency..

Once you see the quantity to be returned Jung, could you also please advise what value it is and what value you like put on the parcel for customs purposes..

Stones Fall Out

Most of the stones that fall out are pearls. The stone that fell out of the bracelet that I put down on a table was turquoise. One thing I forgot to mention: the jeweler here in Charleston who repairs them thought it might help if the bezels were "heavier". By heavier, I guess the jeweler means making the bezel out of a thicker piece of silver.

I looked at the photo you sent and agree with you that the technique is ugly. I'd rather not use it. I don't want to do anything that would change the way the bracelets look.

One thing I have noticed is that on some bracelets, the top of the bezels seem to curve slightly around the base of the stones, while on others the bezel looks straight. I have always thought that your smiths curve the bezels on purpose. It makes sense to me that a curved bezel holds the stone more securely. Also, the slightly curved bezel looks much more elegant than the straight bezel.

I hope this information is helpful.

Note:

Tolong pastikan bezel agak dilipat atau pakai bezel pakai plat yang lebih tebal lagi sedikit. Sehingga stone tidak gampang lepas. Untuk pearl, pastikan dilem (selalu)
